A fast-growing technology/analytics company with offices across North America is seeking a Financial Analyst with accounting education and professional experience.  This role is based in our Vancouver office and will report directly to the Finance Manager.


Duties & Responsibilities 

The successful candidate must be highly motivated, results-oriented, understands team dynamics, and performs well under pressure.  You will be in charge of producing financial statements variance analysis, as well as other financial reports.  You will collaborate with internal and external personnel to ensure the timely collection of raw data and accurate analysis of financial information. Duties will include:

  • Preparing month-end working papers to support the financial statement balances and provides commentary on budget variances.
  • Performing bank and credit card reconciliations as well as monitoring A/R and case requirements daily and producing cash forecasts.
  • Producing vairous internal and external reports, including but not limited to: Financial KPS, Project profitability, sales and revenue forecast and tax working papers.
  • Assisting in quarterly budgeting and forecasting cycles, by helping budget holders to develop reforecast reports
  • Assisting in improving and automating accounting functions, including general bookkeeping, invoicing, reporting, month-end procedures, and filing.  Review and update procedures and training manuals.
  • Other ad-hoc projects and tasks as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Business Administration or post-secondary accounting certificate.
  • Working towards a CPA designation or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of accounting and/or financial reporting experience.
  • Knowledge of accounting and financial theories, cost accounting, revenue recognition, and taxation.


  • Strong knowledge of accounting software and computer skills, including Excel spreadsheets.  Experience with NetSuite is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with fast growing organizations in the service industry will be considered an asset.
